Conflict Search screen allows the checking of any potential conflict. It checks through the Client/Matter files, Attorney file, Vendor file and through the time and expense entries entered into the system. The system can maintain a pretty sophisticated relationship between client companies, their employees and hundred of other relationships. The following mode of searches are supported.
Name: This does a simple match on name. e.g. Smith would match Smith, John, Smith, Joseph etc.
Sound Like: This uses the algorithm as prescribed in Soundex. This will attempt to match names by sound. e.g Smuth would match Smith, John, Smith Joseph etc.
Text: This will search through all the time and expense entries and try and find any matches. e.g. Smith would find things like: "Lunch meeting with John Smith" and will show the related client/matter and timekeeper involved.
Address 1: Will search trough all the addresses to find matching addresses. e.g. Suite 450 would find all addresses that contain Suite 450.
Address 2: Will search trough all the addresses to find matching addresses. e.g. Suite 450 would find all addresses that contain Suite 450.
The control list shows the hits that have been made based upon the conflict search. More information can be obtained by double clicking on any entry in the control list. e.g.
