Argus allows attorneys to have multiple billing rates. One way is to assign a billing rate that is effective over a date range e.g. one rate from January 1, 2002 to June 15, 2002 and another rate from June 16, 2002 to December 31, 2002. To get to this screen select the Billing Rate Button from the Attorney Maintenance Screen:
Attorney Id: This is the ID of the attorney and is pre-filled from the previous screen.
Name: The attorney (timekeeper) name.
Attorney Bill Rate Control List: This shows a billing rate id, start & end date for that ID and a billing rate.
Add Button: To add a new billing rate.
Modify Button: Select a rate from the control list and press this button to change.
Remove Button: Select a rate from the control list and press this button to delete.
To add a new rate press the Add Button:
Attorney Id: This is the ID of the attorney and is pre-filled from the previous screen.
Name: The attorney (timekeeper) name.
Start Date: Pick the starting date that this rate will be effective.
End Date: Pick the ending date that this rate will be effective.
Rate: Enter the new billing rate.
