Ryan E. Writes:

A new place next to Mojito. McCoy's. Try it. Best all-around food in town. Best priced wine list in town. Best pizza in town. Oh, and not to mention the best service in town!!!

Editor Responds:

Sounds suspiciously like a well-directed plug. We hope your check is in the mail.

A Responds:

One of several criteria that The Lunch adopts--and that makes the job of selecting restaurants to review an unnecessarily difficult exercise, we'll admit--is that we limit ourselves to places that are not national chains. Once in a while we screw up, but not knowingly. The real McCoy, it turns out, is in KC.

B Responds:

As it happens my significant other is in England this week and I have had no reason to dine in. On Sunday evening I took up Ryan's recommendation and dined at McCoy's. I would describe it as a slightly upscale Applebee's. The food is described on the menu as "comfort American food with a twist". The twist, as far as I can tell, is the maneuver your neck will do when it sees the prices for very ordinary food.
